Sayyid El Alami

Sayyid El Alami is an actor of Moroccan heritage born in Toulouse in 1998. Raised in a family of six children, he began acting as a teenager through numerous short films. Early screen appearances included Monsieur je-sais-tout (2018) and Bertrand Bonello’s Zombi Child (2019). He reached an international audience as Jibril Hassan in the Netflix series Messiah (2020), then played the title role in the 2022 miniseries Oussekine. His performance in And Their Children After Them earned a Lumières nomination for most promising actor. In 2025, his role in La Pampa brought him acting awards at the Angers Premier Plans Festival and the Cabourg Film Festival. He was selected among the César Academy’s 2026 revelations.
