Born in Rabat on 2 September 1995, Yousra Bouhmouch is a Moroccan actor trained in Paris at École du Jeu from 2013 to 2015 and later in film studies, where she qualified as an assistant director. She became widely known in Morocco in 2019 through the role of Leila in the successful television series Rdat El Walida.
Her career moves between performance and production work. She appeared in the miniseries Al Madani, contributed to the French dubbing of Maryam Touzani’s Adam and worked as second assistant director while playing a Yazidi woman in Mehdi El Khaoudi’s Otage. Further credits include Polygames, The Lost Princess, Soulou Domou’i and Eddem El Machrouk. This experience both in front of and behind the camera gives her a versatile place within Morocco’s audiovisual landscape.
