The Festival international du film d'Alger, also presented as the Algiers International Film Festival (AIFF), is a platform for film discovery, public debate and professional development.

An internationally oriented editorial line

Developed from the Journées du film engagé, the festival retains a focus on social narratives, memory, human rights and cinemas of the Global South while opening its competitions and panoramas to international films.

12th edition

The 12th edition ran from 4 to 10 December 2025, with Cuba as guest of honour. It combined screenings, meetings with film teams, debate and activities for professionals.

An industry dimension

Ciné Lab and AIFF Souk strengthen the festival as a space for project development, training and connections between writers, producers, institutions and co-production partners.
