Ana Desetnica is Slovenia’s major festival for street theatre and public-space arts. Every summer, Slovenian and international artists transform streets, squares, parks and neighbourhoods into stages open to everyone.
Public space as a stage
Theatre, circus, dance, music, puppetry, visual interventions and participatory works meet residents directly. Productions respond to architecture and everyday urban life, creating encounters outside conventional cultural institutions.
A festival across several cities
Ljubljana is one centre of the programme, but Ana Desetnica also travels to other Slovenian towns. This network reaches different audiences and embeds street arts in a wide range of local cultural settings.
2026 edition
The 2026 edition runs from 20 June to 5 July under the idea of art that builds community, sharing urban space and providing free access to contemporary creation.
