Art Stays turns Ptuj into a citywide territory for contemporary art. Since 2003, the festival has presented Slovenian and international artists in galleries, museums, public spaces and historic buildings.
An exhibition across the city
Painting, sculpture, photography, video, sound, installation and performance create routes between multiple venues. Established artists, younger creators, curators and international institutions take part.
A regional platform
Art Stays has become an important meeting point for visual arts in Slovenia and Central Europe. Its long duration keeps exhibitions accessible throughout the summer, while the opening weekend concentrates performances, talks and guided visits.
2026 edition
The 24th edition runs from 9 July to 6 September 2026 in Ptuj, continuing an international programme in dialogue with the city’s heritage and contemporary spaces.
