Bilbao BBK Live is a major European contemporary-music festival held at Kobetamendi, in the hills above Bilbao. Its identity is shaped both by its international programme and by the relationship between music, landscape, city and community.
A festival in the mountains
Several stages host rock, pop, independent music and electronic sounds. Basoa and Lasai offer more immersive listening environments, while the main stages bring together international artists, Spanish talent and Basque creation.
A programme extending into Bilbao
The festival goes beyond its main site. Bereziak, Hirian, Herrian, Mendian and Euskaraz! bring concerts and cultural activities to neighbourhoods, towns and cultural spaces, sometimes free of charge, strengthening the connection between the event, the territory and local audiences.
2026 edition
The 20th edition took place from 9 to 11 July 2026. More than eighty artists took part in a programme combining international headliners, emerging scenes and electronic proposals, alongside initiatives devoted to accessibility, sustainability and safer spaces.
Why it matters
- A musical experience closely linked to Kobetamendi’s landscape.
- An international and stylistically open programme.
- Cultural activity across Bilbao before and during the festival.
- Visible space for Basque and Spanish scenes.
