Festival international de musique symphonique d’El Jem offers one of Tunisia’s most distinctive musical experiences: orchestras, chamber ensembles and soloists performing inside the Roman amphitheatre of El Jem.
Music and world heritage
The festival connects classical repertoire with an ancient monument recognised as World Heritage. The scale and acoustics of the amphitheatre shape the concerts while promoting the cultural identity of the Mahdia region.
2026 edition
The 39th edition runs from 11 July to 15 August 2026, with Tunisian and international ensembles.
