A national gathering dedicated to Ahwach, an Amazigh collective art combining dance, percussion, sung poetry and community transmission. The festival brings Moroccan and international troupes, researchers and craftspeople to Ouarzazate.
The festival showcases regional forms of Ahwach through performances, an artistic parade, transmission workshops and discussions devoted to safeguarding intangible heritage.
Its programme uses the Taourirt Kasbah and public spaces across Ouarzazate, combining stage creation, crafts exhibitions, recognition of heritage bearers and activities for younger generations.
