Tifawine, whose name means “lights” in Amazigh, unfolds between Tafraout and the Ammeln valley. It presents rural culture as a field of creation, transmission and local development.
Village arts in the foreground
Amazigh concerts, collective dances, poetry, popular performances and contemporary creations shape the artistic programme. The festival gives rural expressions a central place and connects living heritage with present-day practice.
Language, knowledge and transmission
The national Tifinagh Olympiad, the Mohammed Khaïr-Eddine Rural University and youth initiatives extend the festival beyond the stage into linguistic, intellectual and civic transmission.
Culture and territorial development
Local-product exhibitions, crafts, sport and social encounters highlight resources from Tafraout and Ammeln. The event links cultural activity with the local economy and visibility of the territory.
An association-led project
The festival is organised by the Tifawine Festival Association with local authorities and partners. Annual dates and activities should be confirmed through the organiser.
