FICAM turns Meknes into a major meeting point for animation in Morocco, Africa and the Arab world. It connects films, artists, studios, schools, professionals and young audiences around storytelling, drawing, sound and digital creation.
Artistic identity and public role
The programme combines features and shorts, premieres, competitions, tributes and encounters with filmmakers. School screenings and workshops introduce children and teenagers to writing, storyboarding, dubbing and the many crafts behind animated images.
Transmission and current edition
Residencies, masterclasses and industry exchanges support professional development and connect Moroccan creators with international networks. The 24th edition took place from 15 to 20 May 2026 across several Meknes venues.
