Festival University theatre / Youth Casablanca July

FITUC — Casablanca International University Theatre Festival

An international university festival led by the Ben M’Sik Faculty of Letters, combining performances, workshops, research and training around student theatre.

FITUC — Casablanca International University Theatre Festival

The Casablanca International University Theatre Festival is one of the region’s longest-running student theatre gatherings, with an identity built around creation, training and intercultural exchange.

A university project open to the city

Led by the Ben M’Sik Faculty of Letters and Humanities at Hassan II University, FITUC turns the university into a place of cultural production. Performances also take place in several Casablanca venues to reach audiences beyond the campus.

Theatre as a space for learning

Shows are accompanied by workshops, meetings, round tables and publications. Students, teachers, directors and researchers compare methods and perspectives, making the festival a laboratory for new generations of theatre practitioners.

Companies from several countries

Its international dimension brings together different languages, aesthetics and theatre traditions. University productions are treated as works in their own right while remaining spaces for learning, experimentation and artistic risk-taking.

2026 edition

The thirty-eighth edition took place from 4 to 9 July 2026 in Casablanca. Calls for participation and programmes are published by the Ben M’Sik Faculty and the FITUC organisation.
