The Festival culturel international de danse contemporaine is one of Algeria’s main platforms for contemporary choreography. It connects artistic creation, international circulation and skills development for emerging performers.
Creation and cooperation
Held under the authority of Algeria’s Ministry of Culture and Arts, the festival presents Algerian and international productions alongside workshops, laboratories and meetings involving choreographers, dancers and programmers. The Algiers Opera Boualem-Bessaih provides a setting for large-scale stage work.
2026 edition
The 14th edition is scheduled for 18–22 September 2026 at the Algiers Opera. The call for companies invited contemporary works and confirmed the event’s international and professional focus.
Why it matters
