International Nomads Festival

A festival celebrating Sahara nomadic cultures through music, dance, crafts, conferences, traditional activities and intercultural encounters.

International Nomads Festival

The International Nomads Festival celebrates in M’Hamid El Ghizlane the cultures of the desert, their music, knowledge and contemporary forms of dialogue between nomadic communities.

Heritage from the Sahara

Concerts, dances, crafts, sand-bread preparation and traditional activities highlight practices from Morocco and other Saharan regions. The programme also welcomes Tuareg, Hassani, Gnaoua and Amazigh artists.

Transmission and contemporary challenges

The Nomads Forum, workshops and conferences address the preservation of ways of life, environmental change, youth access to knowledge and the future of oasis territories.

A meeting point in M’Hamid

The festival links celebration, memory and local development in a territory shaped by mobility, hospitality and the desert economy. It also creates visibility for artists and community initiatives.

The 2026 edition

The twenty-first edition took place on 3, 4 and 5 April 2026. Future dates and programme details should be confirmed through the organisers.
