Lent Festival turns Maribor into a large cultural stage at the beginning of summer. Music, theatre, dance, street arts, comedy, family programmes and folk traditions unfold along the Drava River and throughout Slovenia’s second-largest city.
A festival embedded in the city
Its identity is closely linked to the historic Lent district, city squares, courtyards, parks and riverbanks. Audiences move between large concerts, intimate formats and free events in an open and sociable atmosphere.
A broad artistic programme
JazzLent is a major component, alongside contemporary music, international folklore, theatre, dance, stand-up comedy and children’s performances. This diversity attracts local residents, visitors and artists from several continents.
2026 edition
The 2026 festival takes place from 26 June to 4 July and continues Lent’s role as one of Slovenia’s most popular cultural events.
