Ljubljana Festival is one of Slovenia’s leading summer cultural events. For several weeks, the capital welcomes orchestras, soloists, singers, ballet companies and major stage productions in a programme connecting European heritage with international creation.
A season across the capital
Events take place at Križanke Summer Theatre, Cankarjev dom and other historic Ljubljana venues. Moving between halls, courtyards and monuments gives each production a distinctive architectural setting.
Music, opera and performance
The programme combines symphonic works, recitals, opera, ballet, musical theatre and interdisciplinary projects. Slovenian institutions share the bill with international ensembles and acclaimed performers.
2026 edition
The 74th edition runs from 21 June to 8 September 2026, confirming Ljubljana’s role as an important summer meeting point for live arts.
