Festival Comedy / Stand-up Marrakech June

Marrakech Comedy Festival

Launched in Marrakech in 2026, this festival brings together Arabic- and French-language comedy, established performers and emerging talent through major galas.

Marrakech Comedy Festival

The Marrakech Comedy Festival is a new event devoted to stand-up and major Arabic- and French-language comedy stages. Launched in June 2026 at the Palais des Congrès, it aims to establish Marrakech as a meeting place for established performers, new voices and audiences from different backgrounds.

Two languages and several cultures of humour

The inaugural programme was built around distinct but complementary galas. An Arabic-language evening under the artistic direction of comedian Eko was presented alongside French-language galas hosted by Malik Bentalha, with performers from Morocco and other international comedy scenes.

A platform for new generations

The festival states its intention to give emerging talent visibility alongside already established stand-up figures. This balance between media recognition and discovery is one of its central editorial challenges.

A festival still defining its identity

Because the first edition took place in 2026, the festival’s identity and regularity will need to be assessed over several years. Its announced distribution through an international platform and its audiovisual partnerships nevertheless give it visibility beyond the event itself.
