The MED Festival transforms Loulé’s historic centre into a meeting place for music, cultures and artistic practices from around the world. Concerts are joined by activities across streets, squares, the municipal market and heritage stages.
An intercultural festival
African, Mediterranean, Latin American, European and Asian music meets street arts, cinema, literature, dance, exhibitions, talks, crafts and food.
A city-wide project
Organised by Loulé municipality, the festival involves public spaces, residents, businesses and associations. It promotes cultural diversity, tolerance and cooperation.
2026 edition
The 22nd edition runs from 25 to 28 June 2026, with the final day designed as an open day. Artists from more than thirty countries are represented.
