Nawwar Nisan is a festival for children and families organised by Ramallah Municipality with a network of cultural and educational organisations. It activates the Old Town and partner venues through creation, reading, learning and shared experiences.

A three-day 2026 edition

The 2026 edition is officially scheduled from 30 April to 2 May. The first day unfolds at partner organisations, the second brings activities together in Ramallah’s Old Town courtyard, and the final day closes on the outdoor stage of the municipal building.

Performances, workshops and books

The programme includes performances, interactive workshops, art exhibitions, a children’s book fair in the Ottoman Court building and dabke presentations. Its accessible formats invite children to practise, watch and discover several artistic disciplines.

A collective cultural project

Nawwar Nisan is built through partnerships with organisations working in community education, popular arts and young-audience programming. This networked approach extends the festival beyond a single venue and strengthens its mediation role.
