The Festival international du film arabe d'Oran places western Algeria’s largest city at the centre of Arab film circulation. It showcases regional production and creates dialogue between directors, actors, critics and audiences.
Competitions and panoramas
The programme generally includes feature and short fiction, documentaries, tributes, special screenings and professional meetings. It brings together films produced in very different national and social contexts.
13th edition
The 13th edition opened on 30 October 2025 with around 63 films from several Arab countries. It confirmed Oran’s longstanding place in Algeria’s film and cultural landscape.
