The Oujda Maghreb Film Festival creates a circulation space for films, artists and debates that reflect the societies of North Africa.
The Maghreb through its filmmakers
Founded in 2012, the festival presents Moroccan, Algerian, Tunisian, Libyan and Mauritanian films while remaining open to co-productions and diasporic viewpoints. The works address shared memories, borders, social change, youth and new forms of storytelling.
A strong anchor in the Oriental region
Its presence in Oujda contributes to decentralising film culture and brings screenings, encounters and workshops closer to regional audiences. It also supports exchange between professionals, cultural associations and training institutions.
Regional dialogue through cinema
The festival offers a space where common cultural references and different national experiences can be compared without reducing Maghreb cinema to a single identity.
The 2026 edition
The next edition is announced for 16–21 October 2026. The final programme and access conditions should be verified before attending.
