From 24 to 26 July 2026, the 55th Slovo Gorčina brings poetry, literature, music, visual arts and film to Stolac around the legacy of poet Mak Dizdar.
A living literary history
Slovo Gorčina is one of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s historic cultural events. Inspired by Mak Dizdar’s work and the memory of Stolac, the festival connects contemporary creation, literary heritage and a strong sense of place.
The city as a creative space
Poetry readings, conversations, concerts, exhibitions, screenings and publishing events unfold in emblematic sites such as Radimlja, Šarića kuća and Makova hiža. The city and its heritage become an active part of the artistic experience.
2026 dates
The 55th edition is scheduled for 24–26 July 2026. Activities take place across several Stolac venues, so the programme should be checked when planning movement between locations.
