Festival Urban and performing arts Ramallah, Palestine Annual since 2008; 14th edition documented in 2023; 2026 to be confirmed

Wein A Ramallah Public Spaces Festival

An annual street festival, Wein A Ramallah turns public squares and civic spaces into open stages for music, dance, theatre, circus and community encounters.

Audience at Wein A Ramallah in an urban public space

Wein A Ramallah is the city’s annual public-spaces festival. Ramallah Municipality presents it as Palestine’s first street festival: squares, streets and civic facilities become stages for Palestinian artists and Arab or international collaborations.

The city as a stage

The programme favours outdoor formats including concerts, dance, theatre, circus, popular arts and community interventions. Each edition adopts a theme connecting artistic work with Ramallah’s history, diversity and everyday life.

Accessible cultural participation

The project addresses broad audiences and brings the arts beyond specialised venues. Its presence in shared spaces encourages encounters among residents, visitors, independent artists and cultural institutions.

Editorial status

The festival began in 2008. Its fourteenth edition is documented in 2023; no 2026 dates are presented as confirmed until a new municipal programme is published.
