The 14th National Rwais Art Festival takes place in Dcheira El Jihadia from July 24 to 26, 2026. Organised by Morocco’s Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication – Culture Department, in coordination with the Inezgane-Aït Melloul provincial authorities and Dcheira municipality, the festival celebrates the richness, distinctiveness and transmission of this Amazigh art form.
The announced programme includes major artistic gatherings bringing together several generations of Rwais, the ninth Young Rwais Competition, discussions on the memory and future of the tradition, a documentary screening followed by a round table, a workshop on funding artistic and cultural projects, and an exhibition devoted to instruments and historic media used to share Amazigh music. The edition also honours Ibrahim Behti, Fatima Tanerzift and Mohamed Bendaj. Detailed schedules and access information will be added when released.
