Get an original track heard by radio programmers
The Music In Africa Foundation invites emerging musicians from all African countries, including Morocco, to the ACCES 2026 Emerging Artist Spotlight Competition. Artists submit one original track, in any genre. Shortlisted music will be played and reviewed live by programmers from Kaya FM, VOW 88.1, Ukhozi FM and StaFM, who will share practical insight into what radio stations seek, how songs are evaluated and how new releases can reach audiences.
What the prize actually covers
One winner receives a promotional package valued at ZAR 35,000, including recording studio time, promotional video work, media/press support and assistance in pursuing radio playlist opportunities. This is support in services, not a guaranteed ZAR 35,000 cash transfer. Actual radio airplay is not automatic.A decisive travel requirement for Morocco-based applicants
To be eligible, participants must have registered for ACCES 2026 and must attend the conference in Johannesburg, South Africa, in person on 29 and 30 October 2026. This is a mandatory condition. The competition does not promise to pay for airfare, accommodation, visas or local transport. Musicians from Morocco should assess their actual travel arrangements and any entry requirements before applying.
How to submit
Send only one original song per artist as an MP3 file below 10 MB, using the official competition portal. Provide contact information and ACCES registration details, and ensure you hold the relevant rights to the music. Any genre may be considered, including local, traditional, urban and experimental styles.
Closing and event dates
Application deadline: 16 October 2026; the official notice gives no specific hour.
