Research and creation in Paris
Atlasarts brings together Morocco's Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, the Cité internationale des arts and the Institut français du Maroc. Eight artists of Moroccan nationality will be selected for a residency at the Cité's Marais site from 5 January to 26 March 2027. The programme is designed to support artistic research, international mobility and long-term professional networks.
What the residency provides
The award includes a furnished private live-in studio, a €1,000 net monthly living allowance throughout the residency, professional guidance, meetings and participation in the Cité's artistic community. This is a living stipend rather than an unrestricted production grant. International travel is not expressly listed as covered in the call; applicants should check any travel arrangements with the organisers.
Eligibility
Candidates must hold Moroccan nationality; there is no age limit. They must demonstrate at least three years of professional artistic practice or have graduated from an artistic training institution. Eligible fields include visual and digital arts, cinema, music, performance, playwriting, directing, dance, choreography and writing. Applicants need sufficient French basics or English for daily and professional exchanges and must be fully available during the residency.
How to apply
Submit in French: a detailed CV (maximum four pages), an artistic portfolio with captions (maximum fifteen pages), a statement of intent explaining the artistic project and why Paris is essential (maximum three pages), plus national identity card and passport copies; an artist card is optional. Audio and video links can supplement the portfolio. Email the complete file to citedesarts@minculture.gov.ma by 15 October 2026. Results are expected in November 2026.
