La Traversée supports emerging Moroccan writers developing a first book project in French. Three selected writers receive online mentoring with author Abigail Assor from October 2026 to April 2027, followed by a three-day working residency in Lyon during the Littérature Live festival in May 2027.
The programme includes individual sessions on narrative choices, manuscript structure and editorial development. Travel, accommodation and meals in Lyon are covered by Villa Gillet.
Applicants had to be Moroccan adults working on a novel, narrative or hybrid manuscript and be available throughout the programme. The 2026 application period is now closed.
