An African leadership programme for women working in culture
The African Culture Fund (ACF) and Institut Kôrè des Arts et Métiers (IKAM) invite applications to the second LEWO Africa Boot Camp. The programme will select 30 women working in the cultural and creative industries, across every region of Africa including Morocco and the African diaspora. All activities are online.
Five days of training, six months of mentoring
Training takes place from 14 to 18 December 2026. Participants then benefit from six months of individual coaching and mentoring beginning 4 January 2027. Subjects include cultural management, entrepreneurship and leadership, administration, financial management, personal branding, digital marketing, emotional intelligence and AI tools. Peer-to-peer exchange and mentoring aim to strengthen participating organisations and creative initiatives.
Eligibility
Applicants must be women active in cultural or creative work through an existing organisation, collective or developing project, and demonstrate at least some professional experience. They should originate from Africa or its diaspora, understand French or English, have a reliable internet connection and be available for the full five days and follow-up period. Geographic balance, motivation, experience and the value of the applicant's project are among the review criteria.
Is it a cash grant?
No direct cash award is guaranteed in the 2026 programme rules. Past LEWO programme descriptions may mention grants, but the current call guarantees training and professional mentoring, not a €2,000 personal grant. Because the course takes place online, travel, accommodation and catering support are not offered or needed.Application package
