From 10 June to 26 July 2026, Athens Photo Festival brings together contemporary photography, installations, projections, archives and publications at the Benaki Museum and across the city.
The 2026 edition
The main programme presents seventy artists and collectives from thirty countries across roughly 3,000 square metres. Satellite exhibitions, portfolio reviews, a publishing programme, guided tours and professional encounters extend the central exhibition.
Why this festival matters
Founded in 1987, the festival treats photography as a field of research into memory, displacement, the body, ecology and image circulation. It connects established artists, emerging practice and professional development.
