Throughout July, Baščaršija Nights brings concerts, theatre, dance, exhibitions and literature to Sarajevo’s historic centre. The 30th edition runs from 1 to 31 July 2026, with many events offered free of charge.
A distinctive cultural identity
Organised by the Bosnian Cultural Centre of Sarajevo Canton, the festival has shaped the city’s summer for three decades. Its identity combines accessibility with artistic ambition, placing performances close to residents and visitors across the historic Baščaršija district and several cultural institutions.
Programme and experience
The programme combines contemporary and traditional music, stage performances, readings, literary encounters, exhibitions and family-oriented events. This breadth creates space for established artists as well as emerging voices from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the wider region.
2026 dates
The 30th edition spans the whole of July 2026. Times and venues vary by event, so the organiser’s daily programme should be checked before attending.
