The Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival is the world’s leading event devoted to short cinema. It brings together filmmakers, producers, broadcasters, programmers, schools and audiences through national, international and experimental competitions.
Short film in all its forms
Fiction, documentary, animation, experimental cinema and hybrid work appear in competitive and thematic programmes. Young-audience screenings and retrospectives broaden the festival’s approach.
A strategic professional market
The Short Film Market supports distribution, co-production and meetings between festivals, broadcasters, platforms and institutions.
2026 edition
The festival took place from 30 January to 7 February 2026, with the professional market running from 2 to 5 February. The programme included a Southeast Asia focus and a holiday-themed retrospective.
