Comediablanca is a comedy festival created in Casablanca around Moroccan and international performers. It combines large galas, stand-up, outdoor formats and social spaces, with the ambition of building a lasting event around cultures of humour.
Casablanca as a comedy stage
The first edition, held in 2024 at the former Sacred Heart Cathedral, established the festival in a landmark city-centre venue. Later editions developed Arabic- and French-language galas bringing together recognised figures and a new generation of performers.
An experience beyond the shows
Comediablanca presents itself as an immersive festival. Around the performances, a festival village welcomes audiences with activities and meeting spaces. This format is designed to extend the experience before and after the artists appear on stage.
Supporting new comic voices
The project also emphasises artist development through regular formats, tours and a stated ambition to train emerging talent. This direction may help professionalise Morocco’s rapidly growing comedy scene and support its international circulation.
