El Gouna Film Festival — GFF — brings Arab and international films, filmmakers, professionals and audiences together on the Red Sea. It combines high visibility with artistic discovery and concrete support for projects.
An international programme
The festival presents feature fiction and documentary films, shorts, premieres, filmmaker encounters and awards. It gives particular attention to emerging voices and to circulation between Arab, African and international cinema.
CineGouna, the industry platform
CineGouna brings together funding, development, a market, a forum and programmes for new talent. CineGouna Funding supports Arab feature projects in development or post-production through mentoring, technical feedback, networking and financial and professional awards.
2026 edition
The 9th edition is scheduled for 15–23 October 2026. CineGouna Funding runs from 16 to 22 October during the festival. Selections, accreditation and detailed venues are released progressively on the official website.
Why it matters
- Strong regional and international visibility.
- Concrete support for projects from the Arab world.
- A link between programming, co-production, funding and the market.
- A complement to Cairo, Luxor and Aswan film festivals.
