The Tetouan International Oud Festival places the instrument at the centre of a dialogue between Moroccan traditions, Mediterranean cultures and repertoires from the Arab world and Asia.
An established musical gathering
Created more than twenty-five years ago, the festival combines concerts, artist encounters, poetry readings and masterclasses. The Ziryab Award honours performers and figures committed to musical transmission.
Latest verified edition
The 26th edition opened on 29 May 2025 at Tetouan’s Teatro Español under the theme “Glimmers of Tolerance”, with artists from Morocco and several other countries.
