The Fourvière Nights Festival returns Lyon’s ancient theatres to their original purpose as places of performance. Music, theatre, dance, circus, opera and hybrid works meet under the open sky and across the wider metropolitan area.
Heritage as a living stage
The Roman theatre provides a monumental setting, but the festival’s identity comes from its international programming, new productions and the coexistence of popular and demanding work.
Real multidisciplinarity
No discipline is placed above another: a concert may follow theatre, and circus may share the programme with choreography. This circulation brings different audiences together.
2026 edition
From 28 May to 25 July 2026, the festival celebrates its 80th anniversary with more than one hundred performances, participatory balls and programmes for younger audiences.
