From 1 to 30 April 2026, the 19th JAM — Jazz Appreciation Month in Montenegro — presented a month of concerts and encounters in Podgorica, Cetinje and Kotor.

The 2026 edition

The programme featured Ariel Bart Trio, Baki Duyarlar Trio, The TribeVibers, Srđan Ivanović Blazin’ Quartet, Maja Rivić Quintet and Lucas Dorado Quintet. Moving across three cities allowed the festival to reach different audiences and place jazz in several cultural venues.

Why this festival matters

JAM takes the form of a themed month rather than a short gathering. Its duration encourages collaboration, musical mediation and the discovery of styles ranging from acoustic jazz to contemporary creation shaped by Mediterranean cultures.

Key points

  • A 19th edition spanning the whole of April.
  • Three participating cities.
  • An international programme led by Jazz Art Association.
