The 34th Kotor Festival of Theatre for Children ran from 2 to 10 July 2026, turning the Old Town into a stage for performances, workshops and youth creativity.
The 2026 edition
Fifteen productions formed the theatre programme, including twelve competition titles from Montenegro, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Spain. Children’s stage work, workshops, meetings and educational activities expanded the programme.
Why this festival matters
Since 1993, the festival has symbolically handed the city to children. Events take place at the Summer Stage, Nikola Đurković Cultural Centre, Cinema Square, the Creative Hub and several Old Town squares.
