Festival Pyrotechnics, music and festive heritage Valletta and Nadur, Gozo 18, 20, 25 and 30 April 2026

Malta International Fireworks Festival

An international celebration of Maltese pyrotechnic art, featuring night displays, a pyro-musical competition and fireworks factories and societies from Malta and abroad.

Fireworks over Malta during the international festival

The Malta International Fireworks Festival presents a craft deeply connected to the village feasts of the islands. Its displays combine pyrotechnic composition, music, technical precision and the participation of many Maltese and international fireworks factories.

From community craft to international competition

Malta’s fireworks tradition is sustained by societies and workshops rooted in local communities. The festival presents this heritage through large-scale displays, music-synchronised creations and a pyro-musical competition.

The 25th edition

The anniversary edition took place on 18, 20, 25 and 30 April 2026. It opened in Nadur, Gozo, and continued across several sites including Valletta. Around forty factories and affiliated societies were announced, including eight pyro-musical competitors.
