Identity
Founded in 1974 by Prince Rainier III, the Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival is one of the world’s most respected circus events. It gathers acrobats, clowns, animal trainers, companies and technicians selected for virtuosity, originality and their ability to renew the traditions of the ring.
A Monaco-based event
The Fontvieille Big Top gives the event its distinctive identity. The festival combines popular spectacle, professional excellence and transmission, notably through New Generation, its competition for young performers. The Golden, Silver and Bronze Clowns are major distinctions in an artist’s career.
2026 edition
The 48th edition runs from 16 to 25 January 2026 alongside the 13th New Generation competition, with international acts, gala performances and award ceremonies.
