Montpellier Dance Festival is a major international platform for choreographic creation. It welcomes leading companies, produces new works and creates encounters between contemporary dance, circus, music, cinema and amateur practice.
A history built around creation
Centred on Agora, the International City of Dance, the festival supports artists through residencies, co-productions and world premieres. Montpellier therefore holds a structural place in European and Mediterranean dance networks.
Dance across the metropolitan area
Performances take place in theatres, opera houses, public spaces and neighbouring towns. Workshops, films, talks and family programmes make the festival accessible to different audiences.
2026 edition
The 46th edition took place from 20 June to 4 July 2026, with 28 shows, 59 performances and numerous premieres.
