Morocco Storytelling International Festival

International storytelling festival connecting Moroccan oral heritage, world narratives, research, performance and intergenerational transmission.

Morocco Storytelling International Festival — Rabat and other Moroccan cities

Morocco Storytelling treats oral narrative as a living art, a form of memory and a language that moves between cultures. It brings together storytellers, researchers, artists and varied audiences.

Artistic identity and public role

Hikayat, legends, family memories, myths and contemporary creations meet in performances, workshops, evening gatherings and lectures. The festival shows that oral heritage continues to change and inspire new artistic forms.

Transmission and current edition

Activities radiate from Rabat to other cities and territories, reaching schools, families and communities. The 23rd edition ran from 13 to 20 July 2026, exploring Aicha Kandicha, oral memory and stories from around the world.
