Nuits Sonores explores electronic, independent and digital cultures across the city of Lyon. It combines major music events, emerging scenes, audiovisual creation, free programmes and spaces for discussion.
An urban laboratory
The festival occupies industrial sites, clubs, heritage venues and everyday spaces. Music meets design, image, architecture, radio and social practices.
International and decentralised scenes
The programme highlights exchanges between continents, sound-system cultures, historic electronic artists and communities that remain underrepresented in many European festivals. Nuits Sonores Lab extends the music with debates on cultural and political change.
2026 edition
The 23rd edition ran from 13 to 17 May 2026, with day programmes at Les Grandes Locos and night events at La Sucrière.
