Festival Opera and classical music Orange, France 30 May–18 July 2026

Orange Opera Festival — Chorégies d’Orange

A historic opera, symphonic music and ballet festival presented in the monumental setting of Orange’s Roman Theatre.

Official visual for the 2026 Chorégies d’Orange

The Chorégies d’Orange are among France’s oldest festivals. Their identity comes from the encounter between major operatic and musical works and the exceptional acoustics of Orange’s Roman Theatre.

A monument serving music

The Roman stage wall gives opera, symphonic concerts, recitals, ballet and cine-concerts a distinctive scale and sound.

Heritage and learning

Alongside major performances, educational and participatory projects introduce younger audiences to singing, orchestras and opera.

2026 season

The programme runs from 30 May to 18 July and includes La Traviata, Philippe Katerine Symphonique, Cendrillon by Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo and a cinema concert with Renaud Capuçon.
