Tangible Heritage Week, held in Homs from 13 to 20 April 2026, offered a living reading of the objects, skills and sites that shape the cultural memory of the region.
Crafts and knowledge
The opening exhibition featured glass painting, Ajami decoration, traditional weaving, straw trays, embroidery, woodworking, beadwork, crochet and textile production. These practices were presented as social and economic skills as much as aesthetic forms.
From exhibition to territory
The programme combined talks, discussions, a photography competition and a field visit to ancient Qatna, now Al-Mushrifa. This connected objects and techniques to the history of places, archaeology and contemporary community life.
Planning a visit
The 2026 edition took place in spaces run by the Homs Directorate of Culture and through outdoor activities. Any future edition should be confirmed directly with the organising institution.
