The Valletta Baroque Festival places seventeenth- and eighteenth-century repertoire inside the architecture that gives it particular resonance. Chamber music, sacred programmes, recitals and opera are presented across historic venues in Valletta and elsewhere in Malta.
The Baroque city as a stage
Teatru Manoel is a central venue, alongside churches, palaces and other heritage spaces. Specialist ensembles, soloists and Maltese or international performers explore period instruments and historically informed performance practices.
