Vieilles Charrues is one of France’s largest contemporary music festivals. Held in Carhaix-Plouguer, in central Brittany, it combines popular programming, musical diversity and a powerful community-based model.
A festival rooted in its territory
Thousands of volunteers and local organisations help produce the event. This collective structure gives the festival its friendly identity and strong economic and cultural relationship with Brittany.
A broad musical spectrum
Pop, rock, rap, chanson, electronic music, reggae and global sounds share several stages. International headliners appear alongside French-speaking artists, discoveries and Breton projects.
2026 edition
The 34th edition ran from 16 to 19 July 2026, with artists including Katy Perry, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Aya Nakamura, Orelsan and Interpol.
