The Museum of Contemporary Art Zagreb, widely known as MSU, is one of Croatia’s main institutions dedicated to artistic practices of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries.
Collections and programme
Its holdings bring together around twelve thousand Croatian and international works created since 1950, including painting, sculpture, drawing, prints, photography, film, video, posters, design and media art. The museum combines collection displays, temporary exhibitions, commissions, performance and research projects.
A building for contemporary art
Purpose-built for varied exhibition formats, MSU includes flexible galleries, a multimedia auditorium, a library, educational rooms and programmes for families, schools and specialist audiences.
