The Montenegrin National Theatre, widely known as CNP, holds a central place in the production and circulation of performing arts in Montenegro. Its season combines new productions, revivals, visiting work, concerts and public-discussion programmes.
Collections and programme
The programme connects Montenegrin authors, European classics and contemporary writing. CNP collaborates with directors, actors, dramaturgs, designers and regional institutions, while also hosting festivals, professional showcases and interdisciplinary projects.
Cultural role
Beyond performance, the theatre preserves national repertoire, develops audiences and raises the international profile of Montenegrin theatre. Its two stages support both large productions and more experimental formats.
