On Thursday 22 and Saturday 24 October 2026 at 7pm, Tangier's Riad Sultan Theatre welcomes the Georges Courpet Quartet for two evenings of jazz and French popular song. The initiative is associated with longtime Tangier resident and jazz enthusiast Henri Marre.
The performances pay tribute to trumpeter Georges Courpet, whose career included collaborations with renowned French singers such as Johnny Hallyday, Michel Sardou and Sylvie Vartan. The programme revisits jazz improvisation, classic melodies and a shared musical heritage.
The local programme describes an ensemble bringing together voice, piano, drums and trumpet. There are two separate performances, on 22 and 24 October, rather than a continuous three-day run. Tickets are announced at 100 MAD; confirm seat availability with Riad Sultan Theatre.
