Karacena’s opening parade will launch the 11th Circus and Travel Arts Biennale in Salé on August 21, 2026. Conceived as a collective entrance into the festival, it will bring contemporary circus out of the big tops and into the city, connecting performers with residents and public space. Acrobats, dancers, musicians, street artists and young performers from the Shems’y National Circus School are expected to form a moving urban celebration reflecting the 2026 theme, “Coming Together,” centred on solidarity, transmission and collective strength. Karacena’s general programme will unfold across Bab Fès, Bab Hssain, Sidi Moussa, INBA and the Shems’y big tops. The precise route, timetable and access arrangements will be updated when the detailed official programme is released.
