Presented in the garden of the French Institute of Tetouan, “Me and Others” invites children and families to explore a vital question: how do we live together when our wishes, feelings and viewpoints differ? Through illustrations from books published by L’École des loisirs, the exhibition stages familiar situations — sharing, arguing, forming a team, welcoming a new friend, understanding frustration and repairing a conflict.
Rather than delivering ready-made lessons, the exhibition encourages observation, conversation and attention to other people’s feelings. Its characters help visitors discuss cooperation, tolerance, friendship, boundaries and emotional expression. Presented as part of La Cigogne Volubile, the 2026 spring festival of children’s literature, it also encourages families to continue the experience through reading and provides parents, teachers and cultural mediators with a practical resource for discussing community and empathy with younger audiences.
